As a resident of Fairview, Texas, I has seen tremendous growth in our town in the past 9 years. For good reason, the community of Fairview has exploded, and many people from other affluent areas such as Highland Park and Park Cities have gotten in on our secret. Fairview is the one of the few places in the Dallas area which boasts a top rated school district, minimum of one acre lots (many on heavily treed acreage), and gorgeous custom homes. Fairview is conveniently located close to TX 121 and Hwy 75, and is short drive from the Dallas North Tollway. With the expansion of TX 121, I can arrive at The Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in just over 30 minutes, and intersection of The Dallas North Tollway/ TX 121 area in 15 minutes. This means the Shops at Legacy are only a short drive away! Fairview, and specifically homes in Lovejoy ISD, currently range from $260,000 to $2,250,000. That may seem like a large range, but the least expensive homes are patio type homes in Heritage Ranch, an active adult golf community for 55+. Otherwise, entry level Fairview homes begin at or around $380,000.
Fairview's close proximity to McKinney and the quaint, historical McKinney square also appeals to many residents. "Keeping it Country" is the town's theme, and is characterized by expansive open spaces, large horse farms, quiet creeks and extensive shopping. The Allen Outlet Mall is only 5 minutes from Fairview, and is currently expanding. Some of my favorite stores are Neimans Last Call, Ralph Lauren, and soon, Tory Burch will open its doors. The Village of Fairview and Village of Allen are just east of Hwy 75 and Stacy Road and also include the Allen Event Center, home to sports events, concerts and ice skating.
I'm also excited to learn that the Dallas Morning News reported Lincoln Properties recently acquired the Village of Fairview, announcing plans to spend $50 MILLION for a redo. According to the article, the 200 acre area will be renamed "Fairview Town Center", and Lincoln Properties stated "It's a beautiful center, and we are going to make modifications that make it resonate."
